Types of financial assistance
Foundation Support
Independent nonprofit foundations sometimes offer grants to help patients cover the cost of their treatment. These programs may assist with insurance premiums, copayments, coinsurance, or deductibles. Funding availability can change throughout the year, so our team will work with you to determine if you qualify and help you apply when programs are open. We also work closely with St. Alphonsus to connect patients who cannot afford treatment with additional financial resources.
Co-pay Assistance
Many pharmaceutical manufacturers have co-pay assistance programs for patients with commercial insurance. These programs can significantly lower your out-of-pocket costs for infusion medications. As part of our intake process, we check eligibility and guide patients through enrollment to reduce financial burden.
Free Drug Foundations
For patients who do not have insurance or whose insurance does not cover the medication, free drug foundations may provide access to treatment at no cost. These programs are usually offered by the medication manufacturer and require an application process based on income and medical need. Our staff can help coordinate these applications to make sure patients have access to the care they need.
